The Rocky Mountains are a favorite destination for my wife Cindy Lou and I. This image reminds me of the many wonderful times we spent together pursing this passion.
Les Brave - Normandy France
Old Harbour, Honfleur, Normandy, France

My daughters family and I had lunch at an outdoor resturant where we were seated with this view across the harbour. This image will always remind me of that wnderful time spent with her and my grandaughters.
City Centre, Monschau, Germany

The visit to this old historic town offered some of the most senic "old Europe" photography.
Hoensbroek Castle, Netherlands

I got wasted attending Carnival at this castle during my years in Holland when I was stationed there as a member of the Canadian Military. I returned to Holland in 2011 to visit my daughter and her family, she was working in Holland and lived on the same street as the castle within a short walking distance. This image will alway remind me of the wonderful visit and the thanks I owe my wife for the encouragement to take the trip.
United States World War II Cemetery, Omaha Beach, Normandy, France

For me, a vetran of 35 years service as a member of the R.C.A.F, a trip to the D-day beaches and military cemeteries was akin to a pligramige. It was overwhelming to say the least. I will always remember.
Timeless, Near Cruelly, Normandy, France

It was a wet, dreary day when I came across this scene. It had a "timless" look to it that was so representative of this area of France I had to stop and get the shot. This is historic Normandy.
Alisa, Port Alberni, Vancouver Island, Canada

This image from the docks in Port Alberni reminds me of the 1st time I visited my sister Isabel there in 1966. Many of the boats tied up there seemed to be from that era.
Lieutenancy Building, Old Harbour, Honfleur, Normandy, France

Unforgetably picturesque.
Aachen, Germany

Not far from Brunssm, Netherlands where I was stationed while serving in the R.C.A.F returning to visit Aachen once again was a special treat I celibrated with a wonderful glass of German beer. Who could forget that!
So Dutch, Maastritcht, Netherlands

Soon after arriving in Holland to visit my daughter and her family I saw this "So Dutch" sceen. There are many things that remind me of Holland, a lot of bicycles is one of them.

Farm Morning, Hoensbroek, Netherlands

Walked the dog here every morning. The buildings, typically seen on many Dutch farms were likely built several centuries ago
Town Centre, Honfleur, Normandy, France

Yet another shot of the old harbour, such an unforgetable place.
Canadian World War II Cemetery, Beny Sur Mer, Normandy, France

Over 300 vessels made their way through the rough seas towards Juno Beach. Of the twenty-five vessels in the first wave, twenty were destroyed or damaged; by the end of the day another sixty-six had been added to that total. In order to get anywhere near the beach the landing craft personnel were forced to run their craft, sometimes blind, over rows of underwater mines and steel spiked barriers.

They are not forgotten!
